Modules for image

Before that, we maybe need to enable & explore the Drupal Core media module:

  • Media
  • Media Library

Which module we need, depend to what we want to achieve & choose the module accordingly.

To make slideshow from single node with view slideshow:

  • View > Field > Image
  • Multiple Field Setting > uncheck the 'Display all values in the same row'

UIkit Image Formatter | look nice but need Uikit theme
This module brings 3 new formatter for Image or media Field, based on UIkit 3 library.

This module requires the UIkit Drupal Base Theme (or that you load the UIkit 3 library by yourself).

Configuration
Visit any Image fields in Display settings, you will be able to find the Imagefield Slideshow formatter, Select this one and you would be able to select image styles and other config. Example: admin/structure/types/manage/article/display

Bootstrap Basic Image Gallery | 1227
This module provides an image formatter that displays your images as a simple Bootstrap-based image gallery. The main purpose of this module is to easily display a main image for a piece of content, with subsequent images being available for viewing on hover/click. This is commonly used in instances such as product displays

The gallery displays one main image along with thumbnails for each image. Hovering over thumbnails will display the image in the main image section. Clicking on any of the images will display the images as a Bootstrap popup modal with a carousel for browsing the images.
